Currently, global competition in science and technology is intensifying. In the laser industry, for example, research and development of fibre lasers, laser heads, CNC systems and other core components is key to manufacturing laser processing equipment, but core technology has yet to be developed. China's laser enterprises are achieving these technological breakthroughs, marking China's transformation from “follower” to “leader”.
China is in a critical period of industrial transformation and upgrading, and the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence is providing new impetus for laser technology innovation. Machine learning algorithms can be used to optimise laser parameters, enabling adaptive processing such as real-time monitoring of the perforation process during laser cutting. The algorithm can automatically optimise the parameters for precise hole penetration, effectively improving processing efficiency and achieving cost reduction and increased productivity. Additionally, AI-enabled laser equipment can realise remote operation and predictive maintenance via data acquisition and analysis, providing comprehensive life-cycle services for intelligent manufacturing.
At the enterprise level, we must base our efforts on our own strengths, cultivate technology, expand application scenarios, promote the industrialisation of R&D results and serve multiple industries.
China's laser industry is undergoing a profound transformation, shifting its focus from “scale expansion” to “value creation”. This change represents a technological breakthrough and the reconstruction of the industry ecosystem. Through policy guidance, technological integration and a globalised approach, Chinese laser enterprises are expected to provide a dual paradigm of technology and scenarios for global intelligent manufacturing. In the future, the only way to occupy the high ground in the next industrial revolution is to continue investing in core technology innovation and deepening industry chain synergy, writing a Chinese chapter in the era of 'light manufacturing'.
